Colour, colour, colour... and cut!

I spent last Friday and Saturday taking workshops from Copic international, it was so much fun (other than on my way there on Friday when I cratered the transmission on my Mustang.. :( )

Anyway I have been playing since.

I had so much fun... I think the Green Dress is my favourite!  I can't wait to design some classes!

When I was done I tried out my Pix Scan mat for my Silhouette and it cut them out so nicely.  (I am not so good with scissors so I am loving this)

I need more time to colour and less time working!

Busy busy...

Well it seems that I can somehow keep myself out of trouble... my latest project is for my boys Grade 2 class.  This one was a lot of fun with a bunch of teeny glued bits!   I created 27, 2 layered School, Family, I Belong and one for each name in the class.  I was going to use my Cricut then decided to stick with the Silhouette for this one.  I even found some little pictures that I used the print & cut feature to create some little images for the Teacher.  I love both my Cricut and Silhouette but I really really like the print & cut feature on the Silhouette.  It works great and I can use any image I have!

In the crafting department I have also been collecting more stuff but not finding the time to use it.  I am hoping to get going on my Christmas Cards, maybe this weekend I will have some colouring to post!

We seemed to have received about a foot of snow today at our house.  So if you are in the area drive safely!

Silhouette Fun!

Well other than my silly cold I had fun showing off some silhouette techniques with vinyl at a local store last night!  I do love my electronic gadgets and when you throw in some crafting I am really happy!  Now hopefully feeling good enough to make some cards tomorrow!

Playing with my Silhouette...

Here is one of my vinyl projects with my Silhouette Cameo. I just got it a few weeks ago and have been playing a bit with it. By the time I am done with it I am sure there will be vinyl everywhere in our house! :)
Things I Learned:
  • Use my mat with Vinyl (Silhouette can cut vinyl without a mat but I found it works much better with one)
  • Use transfer tape!! This is a must or the vinyl will stretch
  • My Iphone doesn't take the best pictures in low light! :)

... and yes I still need a bigger craft room!
