Yup I am still here!
I finally got to colour today! I totally ignored the growing mess that is my house and headed down to the basement and pulled out my long lost friends, my Copics! I also got to play with some of my new stamps! Stay tuned... pictures will follow!

Busy Busy....
So my latest project is blankets for my kids for Christmas. I am happy to report that I have 2 of three completed. The best part is I actually dragged out my Embroidery Sewing machine and gave it a whirl (I know it's been sitting since before my boys were born, so it was about time!). Problem #1 my computer that had all my embroidery files was long gone. So I began a three evening search through backup files and guess what I found them! How exciting is that! Not that I used any of those anyway, I ended up purchasing a couple of Cars images for the boys blankets anyway.
I survived the first two with only minor mishaps. #1 do not put your finger under a moving presser foot, it may cause injury. Funny how I laughed when reading the instructions whenever they stated not to put hands etc in certain places for fear of injury. Thats what I get for laughing! :) #2 Check the bobbin thread before starting. My machine is kind enough to display a message when you are low, nice, too bad I am usually in the middle of something at the time! Well usually it isn't a big deal but I ran out on the outline step of the Mater image below. I thought no big deal... I can do this. I was careful not to bump the embroidery arm and I was all set (after I figured out how to wind the bobbin... hey it's been at least 8 years since I used it!). I go to put the hoop back in and I knocked the hoop off the fabric. I did manage to get it close but not quite where it was before. I am just happy that I almost got it! :) Just a couple of little gaps that if you aren't paying attention you won't see, hopefully! :) Anyway here are some pics!

Colouring Today! (finally)
Here are a couple of the things I coloured today, hoping to actually create cards tomorrow possibly! I had lots of fun as I was able to spend the day colouring with my girl. I also enjoyed having a nice warm fireplace keeping us warm in the basement! :) I think my favourite is the blue Magnolia one, what's yours?

Busy busy...
Well it seems that I can somehow keep myself out of trouble... my latest project is for my boys Grade 2 class. This one was a lot of fun with a bunch of teeny glued bits! I created 27, 2 layered School, Family, I Belong and one for each name in the class. I was going to use my Cricut then decided to stick with the Silhouette for this one. I even found some little pictures that I used the print & cut feature to create some little images for the Teacher. I love both my Cricut and Silhouette but I really really like the print & cut feature on the Silhouette. It works great and I can use any image I have!
In the crafting department I have also been collecting more stuff but not finding the time to use it. I am hoping to get going on my Christmas Cards, maybe this weekend I will have some colouring to post!
We seemed to have received about a foot of snow today at our house. So if you are in the area drive safely!

Apparently I also need more time....
Really I haven't forgotten about my blog! I have been busy working on several projects. Helping my hubby build a bus shelter (so I don't have to stand outside and freeze with the kids in the morning). I am pretty good with a saw, not so great with measuring! But I do love to try!
We are also trying to get approval for a renovation... I am hoping it's successful so that I can get some more craft space!
I have also been busy working on a new class that I will be teaching at Scrapbook Memories. I am VERY excited about this one. It's a scrapbooking basics class, it is going to be fun! I get very excited when I can share one of my addictions, ummm I mean hobbies! :)
I also learned something this weekend. I was doing some good old fashion paper scrapbooking, instead of the usual digital stuff. I apparently need an UNDO button on my paper scrapbooking. Next purchase, repositionable adhesive because apparently after I have made up my mind I like to change it AGAIN! Good thing I have a good 'picky stick'. I have always been bad at putting stickers on then taking them off but seriously now it's my entire layout! Oh ya and it's much easier to mat photos on a computer! :) One thing I do love is my new magnetic mat. Oooohhh la la! Makes getting things lined up on a page a piece of cake!
OK off to bed I go now!
Good Night
